Awesome guy!!!
What can I say about this gentle giant! He was a timid colt when he arrived at the farm, but he was already looking to trust his humans. Since I had a broken arm when he arrived, Félix handled him during the first few weeks (I admit I was a bit nervous, since he was nervous and Félix was still fairly inexperienced with horses), and he quickly adapted to Félix’s way of working with him.
With his charming eyes, he melts the hearts of everyone he meets (both humans and mares! Lol). Intelligent, he thinks before reacting when faced with a new request or a new situation, and he was very pleasant to train during his breaking. Of course he can startle, but he doesn’t panic like I’ve seen many young horses do when confronted with unusual situations.
He is a gentleman—naturally kind—and he always tries to understand what is being asked of him. I’m always impressed by his patience and his old soul. During his stall rest after surgery to remove OCD fragments, his behavior was exemplary. He let me change his bandages without moving while on the chains, quietly followed me in and out of the stall with just a simple lead rope and no chain, and never tried to kick, rear, or bite (I could have understood if he had been upset about being confined for so long without being able to let off steam). 😊
GOOD BOY! I think it means everything he is!
